Fix a dealer submission that won't publish

Every so often a dealer's address just won't geocode — a typo, a rural route, a new address the map provider hasn't caught up with yet. Before, that meant a submission sat stuck in your review queue with no way forward: you couldn't fix it, and you couldn't publish it.

Now you can edit a pending submission directly from the review screen — correct the address, or skip geocoding entirely by dropping a pin on the map yourself — and publish it the moment it's right.

How it works

  1. Open a pending submission. Every pending row now has an Edit link, in both the dashboard and the Shopmaps Shopify app.
  2. Fix what needs fixing. Correct the address fields and try geocoding again, or click straight on the map to place the pin by hand — useful when the address is correct but just won't resolve to coordinates.
  3. Save, or save and publish. Save your changes and come back later, or publish right away in the same step.

Why this beats a raw retry

A "try again" button would only ever re-run the same geocode against the same address — if it failed once, it'll fail again. Editing gets at the real fix: either the address itself was wrong, or the geocoder just needs a hand. Placing a pin manually tells Shopmaps to use exactly that location and skip geocoding altogether, the same rule your own locations already follow when you set coordinates yourself.
